Summer 2019
During the Summer of 2019 I interned at Decisive Analytics Cooperation (DAC), now a part of Whitney, Bradley and Brown (WBB). The details of the internship are highlighted below.

Software Engineering Internship

DAC was developing machine learning techniques to automatically segment satellite imagery, identify and label terrain features, and detect changes over time for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

I worked with DAC’s lead engineer to develop post-processing algorithms to improve the results of the unsupervised deep learning image segmentation algorithm.

I participated in team meetings to understand requirements and develop software design.

I developed Python algorithms utilizing scientific and geospatial libraries to identify and eliminate erroneous segmentations.

I developed a library of standard polygon manipulation algorithms that are now part of the DAC codebase.

I collaborated with DAC engineers to optimize software.

Software was delivered to the NGA customer with DAC’s August 2019 software delivery package.
